We welcome all new members to join the club.
As members you will benefit from access to our club canoes & paddles as well as a wealth of experience and knowledge from our coaches and members. There will be regular organised paddles focused around training & drill techniques, but members are encouraged to arrange their own social crews too. Details of organised sessions will be provided along with access to our members Facebook group for arranging meet ups upon sign up.
In order to attend a club training session you must have completed one of our 'have a go demo days' to learn some of the basics of Outrigger Canoeing. These sessions are run every 2 months, full details will be posted on our Facebook page.
For safety it is mandatory you are able to swim at least 100m
The club is based at Hengistbury Head Outdoor Centre (HHO) - members currently (until July 2026) have half price membership there (which is a requirement for all BOCC members) at £60/year and the joining fee for BOCC is £120/year = total annual cost of £180/year which allows access to HHO at any time and the ability to launch your own canoe, SUP, ski etc at HHO,
If you are an infrequent visitor you are able to pay £20/session, from this BOCC will pay £10 to HHO for access to the facilities.
Away members also need to separately join HHO.
